How to make a super quick and easy applesauce! It smells delicious too.
Nothing will get you into the Fall mood like making some homemade applesauce. This recipe only takes 4 ingredients and you probably have them in your kitchen right now.
7 GALA APPLES (OR WHATEVER KIND YOU LIKE)
1 1/2 CUP WATER
2 TABLE SPOONS MAPLE SYRUP
SHAKE OR 2 OF CINNAMON
2 TEASPOON LEMON JUICE
Now all you have to do is peel and chop the apples (no cores). Throw the apples into the pot and add the other ingredients. Put the pot on the stove and let it cook on low for about 20 minutes or until the apples can easily be smashed with a masher or fork.
I like to mash all of the apple up with a potato masher and leave it somewhat chunky. This chunky applesauce can be added to waffles for breakfast or you can put some in your oatmeal. So delicious!
My kids prefer smooth applesauce, so I just put some of it in my food processor or blender and thats it! So easy and they love it.
