Today I am sharing my simple sourdough pancakes with you.
These pancakes are delicious and very easy to make. I am guessing you already have all the ingredients in your kitchen.
The first thing you are going to need is a sourdough starter. I recommend checking out this sourdough starter recipe from the blogger Alexa at The Duvall Homestead. Sourdough starter can seem a little intimidating, but once you start it, you will see how easy it is.
All you need is flour and water!
If you don’t succeed the first time, try again!

Once your starter is established you are ready to make pancakes. This recipe is great if you are running low on ingredients and working with items from your pantry.

In this video, I show you how I make these pancakes and we sit down to enjoy them as a family. My boys love these so much, and they are super easy to make.

All you need is; Sourdough Starter, Flour, Water, Salt, Baking soda, Vanilla, and Sugar.
Mix everything together and cook over medium heat. I prefer to use a cast-iron skillet because they seem to stick less and have a nice golden color.
I like to feed my sourdough starter the night before I am going to make pancakes. Make sure there are a lot of bubbles and leave it out on the counter until you are ready.
This recipe is great for using extra starter and it’s made with shelf ingredients. I use all-purpose four, but any flour will do.
