SIMPLE HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE – ONLY 4 INGREDIENTS
How to make SIMPLE HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE – ONLY 4 INGREDIENTS! It smells delicious too.
Nothing will get you into the Fall mood like making some homemade applesauce. This recipe only takes 4 ingredients and you probably have them in your kitchen right now.

SIMPLE HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE-Recipe
7 GALA APPLES (OR WHATEVER KIND YOU LIKE)
1 1/2 CUP WATER
2 TABLESPOONS MAPLE SYRUP
SHAKE OR 2 OF CINNAMON
2 TEASPOON LEMON JUICE
Now all you have to do is peel and chop the apples (no cores). Throw the apples into the pot and add the other ingredients. Put the pot on the stove and let it cook on low for about 20 minutes or until the apples can easily be smashed with a masher or fork.

Simple homemade applesauce is fresh and easy to make. I like to mash all of the apples up with a potato masher and leave it somewhat chunky. This chunky applesauce can be added to waffles for breakfast or you can put some in your oatmeal. So delicious!
My kids prefer smooth applesauce, so I just put some of it in my food processor or blender, and that’s it! So easy and they love it.

Hi Shannon. Can I use cinnamon honey instead of maple syrup and citric acid crystals instead of lime juice? Also, for how long can I store the applesauce in the refrigerator?
I normally try to use the applesauce within a week of making it. I have never tried those other ingredients, but I would just try them and see how they taste. I hope it works =)
