5 Things People With Organized Homes Do Everyday
Here are 5 things people with organized homes do every day. All of these tasks are very simple and doable.
Best of all they will keep your home organized every day.
1 – Find a Home for Everything
It is way easier to keep your home organized if every item in your home has a place to live.
Clutter and mess tend to happen when we bring things into our homes and there is nowhere to put the items.
This sounds very simple, and that is because it is! But you would be surprised that when you walk into a messy home, it’s not because the person is lazy.
It’s because there isn’t a place to put all the stuff away. The stuff has to go somewhere!
Your home will stay organized once you find a place to put everything.

2 – Effective Storage Solutions
Are you struggling to find a home for all your stuff? This is where simple effective storage solutions come into play.
Get creative! There are so many ways to organize your stuff even if you live in a small place.
Look for furniture that is multipurpose. There are couches where the seat lifts up and you can store things.
Some storage ideas:
- Coffee tables that have a lid and can store stuff
- Look for places where you can add some hooks
- Add wall cupboards if you don’t have any
- Low on space? Add some containers under the beds to store things
3 – Actually Put Things Away
This is obvious but we have to actually put things away. Our homes don’t organize themselves.
But once you have these systems put in place then it’s easy to keep up with.
4 – Never Leave a Room Empty Handed
Whenever you are in a room and you see something that doesn’t belong take it where it goes when you leave that room.
Literally never leave a room empty handed. Don’t waste a trip. If you are already going to the kitchen take the cup sitting on your coffee table with you.
5 – Declutter Often
This is the BEST way to have an organized home! Declutter all the time.
I think we are under the impression that we declutter one time and are done. BUT the decluttering never ends.
We are always bringing things into our homes. Even if you are minimalist there will still be things to declutter once in a while.
Decluttering often is truly the best way to stay organized.
