Minimalist Office Decor & Peel and Stick Wallpaper
Today I am sharing my minimalist office decor & peel and stick wallpaper. My office walls are a bright white, but for some interest, I added wallpaper. I was shocked at how easy it was to install this peel and stick wallpaper!

In the video, I show how I applied the wallpaper (you can see how easy it was) and a mini office tour.
Below I have all the links to everything in my office in case you want to find the items.

Minimalist Office Decor
When we moved into this house this room was a very dingy off-white with some awful lamps hanging in the middle of the wall.
The first thing I did was paint this office a bright white and took down the lamps.
This office has two purposes. One is a computer room for editing videos and blogging, and two is for creating art.
Being a minimalist I like to keep it very simple and organized without adding too many shelves or pieces of furniture.
My desk, side drawers, and the shelf above are from Ikea.
I love Ikea for minimalist furniture, I find they have a lot of simple sleek designs to choose from.
My curtains and the blanket on my chair are also from Ikea. The chair and large grey area rug are from Costco.
Costco is an excellent place to find affordable large rugs.
One thing I absolutely love in my office is a large whiteboard calendar.
They are surprisingly affordable from Home Goods. This way I can change from month to month without having to move anything. This is great for when I need to remember something important.
Peel and Stick Wallpaper Decor
I thought it would be interesting to try out some peel and stick wallpaper.
Most traditional wallpaper is very difficult to apply. If you don’t like it, then it is a nightmare to remove. That is when I decided to try some peel and stick wallpaper.

I looked at a lot of designs, but I decided on a shiplap design.
Since all of my walls are white and I wanted to keep this room bright I went for a white shiplap wallpaper. If you are on the fence trying to decide on if you should try it or not I definitely recommend going for it.
This wallpaper was extremely easy to hang, just start to unroll it and pull the back off as you apply it to the wall.
This is essentially a large sticker, do not remove the paper backing all at one time. Remove the backing as you are sticking it to the wall.
If you make a mistake or there is a bubble you can easily pull it up and start again. As you unroll it onto the wall push it down and smooth out the air bubbles.
There was one roll where I kept getting it sideways. Believe me when I say I pulled it off and restarted about 10 times and it still stuck just fine.
When I first thought about hanging this wallpaper I was overthinking the whole process.
There is no perfect way to start. I recommend just starting and adjust it as you go.
I have had this wallpaper up for about 2 months and it still looks great.
The pattern looks like real wood and you can’t see the seam where it connects unless you are searching for it. I was able to do a large wall in a few hours with no help.
Wallpaper Recommendations
One recommendation I have is to calculate how much you need before you order, and then get one extra roll. You never know if something might happen and it would be really annoying to have to wait to finish a wall.
It is good to order enough from the same batch because sometimes a batch of something can vary a little.
In real life, this white wood is off-white not a bright white, but I think that makes the wood pattern look real.
Also, be very careful when you are taking off the tape that holds the roll together because the wallpaper can rip easily.
This wallpaper added a lot of interest to this room without having to add a lot of decors. I decided to add another Ikea shelf above my art table which is perfect for art supplies while I am painting.
In this photo, you can see the wallpaper up close and detailed.
I was able to hang this shelf from Ikea right over the wallpaper.
This is what my art table looks like while I am working on a painting.
These paintings are too large to work on the desk, so I am painting from the floor.
This office is perfect for everything I need to get done during the day and the wallpaper adds that extra decorative element without adding clutter.
