2 Make a Fun Outdoor Living Space

Get your home ready for spring by looking at your outdoor living space.

Spring is the best time of the year to refresh or make an outdoor living space.  If you live in a sunny warm climate you can add some shade with an umbrella or hang some shade cloth.

Adding some outdoor furniture is a great way to make a second living room or dining area.

We added an outdoor couch and table to our backyard and it feels as if we have doubled our living area.

Some potted plants and a rug can make the whole space feel complete.

3 Declutter Your Home

I think a lot of us focus on cleaning and not decluttering when Spring rolls around.  Your home will feel refreshed and cleaner by getting rid of all the extra stuff.

If you declutter before you clean it will make the cleaning process a lot easier too.

  • Clean out stuff you don’t need
  • Throw away trash and broken items
  • Get rid of the clothes that no longer fit

When spring rolls around we are thinking fresh warm air blowing through our homes. One way is by opening all the windows and airing out our home.

Cleaning all the screens so the air can easily flow through and adding an air purifier if needed.

One easy way to add fresh air to your home is with plants. I have plants in almost every room in my home.
